As part of his diplomatic engagements in India, His Excellency Francisco Comprés Hernández, Ambassador of the Dominican Republic, paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Amit Prothi, Director-General of the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI).
The meeting highlighted the vital role of CDRI in enhancing the resilience of critical infrastructure, particularly for small island developing states such as the Dominican Republic, where the impacts of climate change and natural disasters are increasingly severe.
Both sides reaffirmed the importance of international cooperation in advancing sustainable, inclusive, and climate-resilient development. The Dominican Republic expressed its strong interest in deepening collaboration with CDRI and in supporting its global mission.
Together, both parties emphasized their shared commitment to building a safer and more resilient future.
