During the Eighth Assembly of the International Solar Alliance (ISA) held in New Delhi, India, the Dominican Republic ratified its accession to the ISA Framework Agreement through the formal delivery of the Instrument of Ratification by H.E. Francisco Comprés H., Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Dominican Republic to India to Mr. Ashish Khanna, Director General of the International Solar Alliance.
Through this ratification, the Dominican Republic becomes part of a global coalition of more than 120 countries committed to sustainable energy transition, green financing, and technical cooperation aimed at accelerating access to solar energy.
This accession reinforces the Dominican Republic’s commitment to the goals of Vision 2030, the National Development Strategy, and the Paris Agreement, while opening new opportunities for investment, technology transfer, and capacity building in clean energy.
This important milestone further strengthens the country’s leadership in Caribbean climate diplomacy and reflects its determination to build a more sustainable, inclusive, and innovative energy future.
