The Embassy of the Dominican Republic in India had the pleasure of welcoming the Director General of Customs of the Dominican Republic, during his visit to New Delhi. He was received by H.E. Francisco Comprés Hernández, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Dominican Republic to India.

The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to review the progress of bilateral relations and to reaffirm the shared commitment to expanding new opportunities for collaboration between the Dominican Republic and India.

The Embassy extends its congratulations to the team of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic (MIREX), led by Minister Roberto Álvarez, for their dedicated work in representing our country abroad. Warm greetings were also conveyed to the Director General of Customs and the Minister-Counsellor.

His Excellency Francisco Comprés Hernández, Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to India, recently had the honour of meeting with His Excellency Hipólito Mejía, former President of the Dominican Republic, during a courtesy visit in Hyderabad.

Former President Mejía was in the city to participate in the Progressive Alliance International Conference, organized by the Government of Telangana. The meeting highlighted the importance of strengthening the presence and visibility of the Dominican Republic in international forums and underscored the shared commitment to advancing global dialogue and cooperation.

His Excellency Francisco Comprés Hernández, Ambassador-designate of the Dominican Republic, arrived in India on 22 April 2025. He was warmly received by Shri Dharmender Kumar, Under Secretary (LAC) at the Ministry of External Affairs.

On this occasion, Ambassador Comprés Hernández expressed his firm commitment to strengthening bilateral ties, with a special focus on advancing cooperation in trade, investment, education, and cultural exchange during his tenure in India.

Su Excelencia Francisco Comprés Hernández, Embajador designado de la República Dominicana, llegó a la India el 22 de abril de 2025. Fue recibido cordialmente por el Sr. Dharmender Kumar, Subsecretario (ALC) del Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores.

En esta ocasión, el Embajador Comprés Hernández expresó su firme compromiso de fortalecer los vínculos bilaterales, con especial énfasis en impulsar la cooperación en comercio, inversión, educación e intercambio cultural durante su gestión en la India.
