H.E. Francisco Comprés H. undertook an intensive and productive working visit to the Indian state of Gujarat, gaining first-hand insight into global-scale initiatives in renewable energy, advanced manufacturing, and port logistics.
During his visit to the Khavda Solar Park, the Ambassador observed the scale and innovation behind one of the world’s most ambitious solar energy projects, highlighting India’s leadership in sustainability and energy transition.
He subsequently visited the Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC), where he reviewed manufacturing processes for cells and modules, as well as research, engineering, and design capabilities that position India as an important player within global technology value chains.
The working visit concluded at Mundra Port, a strategic logistics hub that demonstrates how modern infrastructure and entrepreneurial vision can significantly enhance a nation’s competitiveness and connectivity.
These engagements strengthened the understanding of India’s industrial ecosystem and opened concrete opportunities for cooperation in renewable energy, technology manufacturing, logistics, and port development for the Dominican Republic. The Embassy of the Dominican Republic in India continues to build bridges for investment, trade, and innovation between both countries.
