H.E. Francisco Comprés H., Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to India, hosted representatives of the Police and Fire Games Board of India at the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in New Delhi.
During the interaction, Mr. Sunil Kumar, Secretary of the Police and Fire Games Board of India, and Mr. R.P. Thakur, I.P.S. (Retd.), Advisor to the Board, congratulated the Dominican Republic on the selection of Santo Domingo as the host city for the World Police and Fire Games 2026.
The representatives highlighted the special significance of the event, which coincides with the framework of Saint Jude Thaddeus, Patron Saint of the Dominican National Police. They also welcomed the election of Colonel Ronny Cataño to the Governing Council of the International Police Sports Union, recognizing it as an important achievement for the Dominican Republic in the field of international police sports cooperation.
The Embassy of the Dominican Republic expressed its appreciation for India’s solidarity and the commitment conveyed towards this historic event, which will bring together police and fire service personnel from across the world in a spirit of fraternity, cooperation, and shared purpose.
